Christmas FM and LikeCharity Partnership

One of our best-known partners is the festive radio station that comes to life every November:

The spreading of Christmas cheer is a great mission even by itself. But above and beyond that, Christmas FM also selects a different charity partner every year, and collects donations for that charity for an entire month.

Since Christmas 2015, LikeCharity has partnered with the station every year. Our text-to-donate service now plays an integral role in the radio station’s fundraising.

In 2015, the Make-A-Wish Foundation was the station’s selected charity. The following January, Christmas FM presented the foundation with a cheque for €265,000. Of that enormous cheque, text message donations made up €36,620.

In 2016, Focus Ireland was the chosen charity. Christmas FM raised €360,000 for Focus Ireland. Of that gigantic cheque, text message donations made up €36,844.

In 2017, Sightsavers was the charity of the season. Christmas FM collection donations to the value of €214,000 for Sightsavers. Of that huge cheque, text message donations made up €30,508.

In 2018, Temple Street Children’s Hospital was Christmas FM’s charity partner. Christmas FM raised €404,551 for Temple Street. And of that massive cheque, text message donations made up €40,870.

In the 4 years that we have been partnered with Christmas FM, the radio station has raised a phenomenal €1,243,551. Of that, €144,842 was collected via LikeCharity’s text-to-donate service.

We look forward to working with Christmas FM and fundraising for its chosen charities every holiday season for years to come!
